    Material Encounters is a space for deep, slow thinking about the social, ecological, and material worlds. It is a hybrid endeavor, encompassing art as social practice, research, and community-building.

    Material Encounters seeks to deepen our understanding of material, the relationship between material and mind, and the thoughtful use of material in art, craft, and industry.

  • So Cal Fibershed

    I’m delighted to be involved with Fibershed, and to serve as the lead for the Southern California affiliate chapter.

    We encourage community building and connections between textile artists, designers, fiber farmers, processing mills, suppliers, and retail businesses. We encourage a transparency that will empower wearers, farmers, artisans, and consumers to engage with and understand the soil-to-skin paradigm.
